The Ask //

Using the prompt, “The future of fashion is…,” develop a mini-collection in CLO 3D.

The process //

1. Research

In addressing the question of "the future of fashion is…," I conducted thorough research into emerging trends and forecasts. Drawing insights from reputable sources such as WGSN and Fashion Snoops, a clear pattern emerged: a growing preference for minimalist, futuristic aesthetics. This trend is closely associated with the expanding influence of artificial intelligence, which, despite its early stage, prompts considerable contemplation regarding the direction of technological advancement. The appeal of simplistic yet forward-looking designs lies in their ability to seamlessly incorporate futuristic elements while remaining accessible to a wide audience. This analysis not only sheds light on the evolving landscape of fashion but also underscores the significant impact of technology on its future trajectory.

2. Persona Development

For this stage of my project, I had to develop at least two personas which included: a descriptive name, description, photo, relevant demographics, and a discussion of mindset covering goals, pain points, solutions, objections, and any other pertinent information.

3. Line Sheet

Next, I created a line sheet to present my eight-garment mini-collection. Each garment was meticulously rendered to showcase available colorways, prints, and detailed shots highlighting materials, trims, and topstitching. Leveraging the capabilities of CLO, I generated a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) alongside precise specifications for material yardage.

4. Animation video

Finally, the styled looks were rendered and animated in CLO before being seamlessly integrated into video editing software. This process resulted in the creation of an engaging final video presentation, effectively displaying the collection in an appealing manner.
